Composition in space and time, Sculptural Intervention, and Durational Performance
The Relations functions as a composition in space and time, defined by a series of interconnected, yet autonomous gestures that meld imagery, poetry, and performance. Central to JAŠA's inquiry is appearance and perception, specifically focusing on the space-in-between and the inherent tension between the detail and its dissected wholeness. The project disrupts the familiar by orchestrating an image constellation where seemingly invisible scripts guide independent gestures toward an intensified experience. The work balances present-ness with simultaneous remoteness, and visual order with inherent chaos. The conceptual framework embraces the monumental while maintaining a focus on the persistent delicacy of the sensual and raw. It explores eight core fundamentals: Apnea, Purpose, Vocation, Trust, Values, Urgency, Fulfillment, and Growth. The four-hour durational happening features sculptural installations, a site-specific intervention, and performances by the artist and collaborators.
